Robert Lascelle founded My Deck in 1986 in his early twenties. Although he was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps as a harbor pilot, Robert took a different course, driven by a desire to create lasting, beautiful spaces. He poured himself into the business from day one, putting in 100-hour workweeks, handling early site work, evening estimates, and everything in between. His early years were defined by relentless effort, deep learning, and a refusal to cut corners.
With over 39 years in the trades, Robert’s deck-building expertise comes not from titles but from time on job sites. He built My Deck from the ground up and now leads a team known for 3D interactive design, proprietary estimating systems, a stellar showroom, and precision material selection. He holds top-tier certifications from Trex, TimberTech, MoistureShield, and Deckorators, and is a proud member of NADRA. What separates him from others in the field is his obsessive attention to function, usability, and longevity, not just looks.
